How do I use Monty's with Flowers?
Annuals respond best when fed once a week with the 8-16-8 formula. The ratio should be 1600 PPM. In the greenhouse operations we are using the 8-16-8 formula @ 200 PPM. This is based on feeding the annuals on a daily basis.
How do I use Monty's on Roses?
Roses are very heavy feeders. We recommend that roses get fed with Monty's at least once per week. Approx 5 litres of Monty's will take care of 1600 roses for one application. The 8-16-8 formula should be applied at the time when foliage develops. This formula should be used for approximately two months. If the rose bush has reached the desired growth, a grower can begin mixing the two formulas 50-50. We recommend growers to continue this process for at least two weeks and then begin using the 4-15-4 formula alone. The 4-15-4 formula should be used until the roses are about three weeks from dormancy.
What is the best formula to use with Hydrangea Shrubs?
We recommend the 4-15-4 formula for hydrangea shrubs. The root development is extremely important when trying to maintain these plants. The annual and perennial flowers should be fed with Monty's 8-16-8, however, later in the season, you may want to mix the two formulas to slow down the amount of growth.
How do I use Monty's on Fruit Trees?
Spray foliage with 8-16-8 formula every week for one month. The second month, spray leavestwice weekly with the 4-15-4 formula until blooms appear. Do not fertilise after bloom appear.
